Projects >> DIGNITY OF LABOUR

A series of photographs of some of Britain's least glamorous jobs, including the Fluffers, who clean the rails of the London Underground, a family embalming business, coal miners and - probably the worst of the lot - the Fat and Shit Shovellers, who clear congealed fat from the drains of busy restaurants and excrement from sewers.

The work was made as part of a group project, 'Image '90s', a portrait of Britain in the early '90s.
